For me, Moving from Wisconsin to Sarasota Florida was definitely a huge decision and one to not take lightly. I had many questions about the area myself and where exactly I would move to within the Greater Sarasota Area. After countless days and weeks of research and actually visiting Sarasota, there were 3 things that stood out to me as being benefits for moving to Sarasota.

Sarasota Weather

Now I’m sure you have heard this time and time again as a reason for why people move to Florida in general, but for me this couldn’t be more true. Coming from the cold -20 degree weather to the warm 70 degree winter Florida weather was a no brainer. What I have come to love about Sarasota is that Sarasota is a coastal city, which means we do get the gulf breeze compared to being inland. This allows for the temperature to stay a little cooler than the middle of Florida. 

Now, in the Summer months the weather can get oppressive for some people who have not yet adjusted to Florida summers. It is common the temperature can get up to 90 Degrees for many days, but once again the benefit of being located in a Coastal City such as Sarasota, you will get the gulf breezes.

Outdoor Lifestyle

Why you are located the Midwest, East Coast, the Mountains, etc the one thing we all can agree on is that during the winter months we are stuck inside. Fortunately, Sarasota and Florida in general are free from that restriction. Here in Sarasota there are many things for residents to do when they live here such as Paddle boarding the inter-coastal waters, Kayaking, Fishing both inshore and offshore, our 13+ Mile paved Legacy Trail that connects Bradenton and Venice, several beaches, Walking, and much more. I like to say Sarasota has a little bit of everything for everyone.

Opportunities

Now this is one you will not hear many people talk about, and matter of fact I didn’t really think about it that much until I moved here. I would consider Sarasota an affluent area, which attracts a variety of people from all across the United States. Some residents in Sarasota are CEO’s, retired Pro Athletes, Crypto Investors, Successful business people, etc. So why does this matter? It matters because it brings a diverse group of industries together that could be a connecting point for you and your specific industry. I can tell you from personal experience, I would not have made some of the amazing connections I have over the past couple years without living in Sarasota.

Moving to Sarasota Florida has been one of the best decisions I have made both personally and professionally. Not only is the weather in Sarasota very nice, but also you can meet a wide variety of people from different backgrounds. Since Sarasota is an area of high demand from people all across the United States you will meet people from all ages, retired CEO’s of company’s, People that were successful in Crypto, People who invented products, and other people who have excelled in their line of work. If you are looking to achieve big goals I think being surrounded by these kind of people is very important.

Besides the nice weather, Sarasota offers a great outdoor lifestyle. If you enjoy bikes, or walking Sarasota has a 13+ mile paved trail called the Legacy Trail. This is a very well used recreational trail for people biking, running and walking. The Legacy Trail starts in Venice and ends up near Bradenton. In additional to that trail they are adding a connector trail from North Port to Venice so that the new residents from North Port can enjoy this widely known Sarasota attraction.
